The meeting gathered some 30 Africa experts from the energy industry, universities, press and the political world to exchange on the development of local content of energy investments in Africa, using the South Africa BEE exemple as a starting point for the debate.
Executive Master - The Role of Corporate Governance in the Energy Transition
April 2025 - Lecture from JB Renard at an Executive Master of Management in Energy.
This high profile Executive Master registered over 30 executive students from more than 12 different countries. The lecture covered the key challenges related to the energy transition for boards of energy companies, and how to respond to the pressure applied by shareholders, external stakeholders, and an increasingly complex regulatory environment. It emphasised the critical role of the board in balancing short and long term, as well as internal and external perspectives.
